Dr Tanya Morton

Dr Tanya Morton is the global director of customer success engineering for MathWorks, the makers of MATLAB and Simulink. She has worked at the forefront of innovation, engineering, and science for 30 years, including 20 years in customer-facing roles at MathWorks and 4 years as an operations leader at an education technology start-up. She is passionate about sustainability and supports engineers and scientists working on understanding and tackling climate change. She holds an M.A. in mathematics from the University of Oxford and a Ph.D. in mathematics and computer science from Vanderbilt University.
Cindy Anderson

Cindy Anderson is the global executive for Thought leadership Engagement & Eminence in IBM Institute for Business Value, and the Co-Founder for Member of Board of Advisors.  She has co-authored research reports, published numerous articles, and delivered presentations on thought leadership, diversity, strategy implementation, project management, and technology to global audiences. She oversees a team of 30 editors, designers, and social media/email marketers. She holds a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Iowa and a M.S. in Mass Communication from the Boston University.
Dr Lauriane Chardot

Dr Lauriane Chardot is the Assistant Director of Community Engagement at the Earth Observatory of Singapore at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She holds a PhD in volcanology and has worked in several observatories including in the Caribbean and New Zealand. In her current role, she leads a diverse team in creating opportunities that enable various communities to benefit from the geohazard and climate change research conducted at the observatory. Highlights include the co-design of exhibitions about geohazards and climate change, the co-development of curricula for Singapore schools, and the co-creation of content with students and educators.
Dr Jimmy Hsia

K. Jimmy Hsia is President’s Chair Professor in the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering and School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering & Biotechnolgy at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. He received B.S. from Tsinghua University, China, M.S. from Beihang University, and Ph.D. from MIT. His research focuses on mechanics of soft materials and soft robotics, mechanobiology and bio-sensing, and smart adhesion. He is Fellow of AAAS, AIMBE, and ASME, and recipient of NSF Research Initiation Award, Max-Planck Society Scholarship, and Japan Society for Promotion of Science Fellowship. He was Founding Dean of Graduate College and Vice President (Alumni & International Affairs) at NTU, Vice Provost for International Programs at Carnegie Mellon University, and Founding Director of Nano and Bio Mechanics Program at NSF. He is Founding co-Editor-in-Chief of an Elsevier journal, Extreme Mechanics Letters.
